Hello!


My name is Kieran and I am the founder of this website Body2Shape.com. Why did I create this website? Well, I like many people who create their own site wanted to share with you my passion about achieving Health and Fitness goals in the hope that you will benefit from the information I provide.



My Story


I was born in the Emerald Isle that is Ireland and still live here today. The reason I got into Health and Fitness was actually through a sport I played growing up and a sport I continue to enjoy playing competitively to this day which is rugby.

If you have ever watched a game of rugby it's clear to see that it's a tough game which can be very physically demanding on the body. Just watching the tackling, sprinting, dodging and weaving at lightning pace for 80 minutes can be exhausting!

The game is often described as a decathlon of a team sport simply because as a player it tests your strength, speed, stamina and endurance!



How can my knowledge benefit you?


Well over years of gym training to get stronger, fitter, to build muscle mass and to lose fat I have gained a lot of experience about getting in shape and consequently, I decided to share what I know to you the visitor at no cost so that you can benefit.



Why listen to me?


At the moment I would describe myself as athletic. I'm not a bodybuilder but I know how to gain 10lbs of muscle in a month. I'm not a Men's Health cover model but I know what it takes to achieve a single figure body fat and develop a mid-section. I'm not a strength coach but I know how to increase a bench press, squat and deadlift by 50 lbs in 10 weeks.

How do I know this? I know it sounds overly-confident but I've done all of these things myself through the help of personal trainers, competitive bodybuilders, Olympic weightlifters and other experienced strength and conditioning coaches who I have enjoyed training with and learning from over the years.



How I started out...


I started out weight training and getting fit at the age of 15 and have never stopped! I can honestly say I am addicted to training and usually take no more than 3 weeks off from it every year!

Growing up I was always slightly skinny and didn't really like this as I was like many teenagers self-conscious about my body. In the beginning, I didn't know a dumbbell from a barbell or a treadmill from a cross trainer but I slowly began to get into the swing of things as I picked up information along the way.

My first goal was to gain weight and muscle mass over the summer months and come back to rugby all bulked and hopefully have the physical edge when playing! However, things didn't work out as planned...

I came back in September after 3 months of hard off-season training and looked at the scales... "69kg... Ahhh!" exactly the same weight as I was 3 months prior to training which indicated that I gained ZERO Weight and ZERO Muscle!

At this stage, I was feeling dejected as all my enthusiasm was crushed from months strenuous work in the gym, but as one door closed another one opened...

When I came back to rugby my I was asked by my coach how I got on after all the training I was doing during my summer holidays "Not good!" I said... He understood I didn't achieve what I wanted so he pointed me in the direction of a personal trainer who he knew and who apparently "coached all the rugby guys". I took his word for it and this turned out to be the turning point for me...

His name was Sean and he understood exactly what I was looking for and was able but me on the right track in terms of Dieting and Training. I also found it hugely motivating to be going to a personal trainer as there was the weight of expectation that I would need to make improvements every month that I saw him!

Personally, this thought me a valuable lesson about achieving any health and fitness goal, this being that it is essential to see significant improvements every month to maintain enthusiasm and motivation!

It also made me realise how important it is getting the right information from the start so that you can achieve exactly what you want whether it be losing weight, building muscle or just toning up.



About this Site


As I've said already I created this site around something i'm passionate about which is health and fitness however that wasn't the only reason...
