Eating to Build Muscle Mass
Find out the Foods to include in your Muscle Building Diet to Gain Lean Muscle Mass!

Eating to Build Muscle Mass is essential if you want to see significant muscle gains. Following a Muscle Building Workout without a muscle mass diet simply won't do it. You must eat muscle building foods day-in-day-out for the period in which you want to build muscle.

For those who are new to building muscle mass I will admit, going from eating whenever and whatever when you're hungry, to eating muscle building foods religiously at set times, is a difficult transition to make.

Eating to Build Muscle MassBeing honest eating and preparing meals every 2-3 hours can be extremely time consuming and can take up most of your day and even life!

Personally, I've been eating to build and support my muscle mass for the past 5-6 years when I got into weightlifting training.

Muscle Mass Diet

My first Muscle building Diet was given to me by a personal trainer who laid a fairly decent well rounded diet to help me gain weight and muscle mass.

All the meals contained good lean protein source, Low G.I. carbohydrates, green vegetables and some good sources of healthy fat. Everything you need in a diet to build muscle mass.

Eating to Build Muscle MassAt the time, I was about 16 and was following this muscle building regime during the summer holidays when I had no school and wasn't playing sport to I had loads of time on my hands and was determined to stick with my new healthy ways which I did!

However, at the time I wasn't the best cook and on top of this the meals I was preparing -which were fairly complicated- took a while to cook. Sometimes 45 minutes!

Now I'm sure this may not pose a problem for someone not muscle building orientated who only has to eat 3 times per day but for me I had to make 7 meals a day to stick to the diet I was on!

I was disciplined enough at the time and saw the Muscle building Diet right through the 3 months of summer however I found myself constantly cooking which was a real pain and was almost taking away my summer hoildays!

After a few weeks of stick to that Diet I began to detest all the washing, preparing, chopping, dicing, weighting, frying, baking and everything that was taking up my time. In total to prepare, cook, eat and clean-up the meals took almost an hour each out of my day.

At this point, I decided to devise my own eating to build muscle mass regime which would see me spent no more than 5 minutes preparing each meal and sometimes even no time at all if I were to prepare them all in the morning.

Eating to Gain Lean Muscle Mass

Here are my Top 3 foods I have every day when I'm Eating to Gain Lean Muscle Mass;

Muesli with low fat milk, 100% Orange Juice and 1 scoop of Whey Protein

As with most people I'm usually pretty busy so I have this meal twice a day. Once in the morning and once a 5 o'clock to make up meal no.1 and meal no.4

Omelets

I love omelets for 3 reasons. 1 - They take 5 minutes to make. 2 - They are delicious. 3 - Every time you make them you look like chef material!

What I do is crack 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites (4 eggs) into a bowl with a drop of milk and then whisk with a fork.

Then I throw whatever I have in the fridge into it be it chicken, ham, onion, tomato, cheese along with brown bread thrown in as a Carbohydrate source. At that point I just fry it for 5 minutes.

Wholemeal Sandwiches with a piece of fruit

Nothing wrong with a brown bread sandwich with a good protein source like chicken or fish. Include lots of salad to get essential vitamins and minerals.
