Endomorphs usually struggle with fluctuations in their weight. This is due to ease in which this Body Type stores Fat as oppose to any other Body Shape.

The storing of Fat among Endomorphs has to do with a slow metabolism and sensitivity to Carbohydrates. 

Therefore, the main concern for both male and female endomorphs is to have a moderate training regiment and an especially good diet in order to lose or maintain weight.

Endomorphs can be regarded by their appearance as;

Strength training should be done to get a better muscle to fat ratio and therefore improve metabolism. Use moderate weights at a fast training pace (very little rest between sets and exercises). 

You should lower your calorie intake (but not try to starve yourself) and should eat frequent but small meals. Sugars, sweets and junk food should be eliminated from your Fat Burning Meals. Engage daily in some activity like brisk walking, biking, etc., and try to increase the amount of time you spend each week.


Exercise for an Endomorph Body Shape


The purpose of muscle mass building workouts and Cardiovascular Exercise should be to stimulate your metabolism. This will help reduce weight, build muscle and over a prolonged period of time will prevent dramatic fluctuations in weight from the consumption of food.

EndomorphSuper setting (doing an exercise straight after another with no rest) in your weightlifting routines can prove very beneficial as the intensity is kept high. This high intensity can help to burn fat while at the same time building lean muscle mass.

Rest period should also be kept to a minimum. No more than 45 seconds between each exercise.

Cardio must be a present in the workout plans of an Endomorph. The degree to which it is carried out all depends on the individual. Obviously, the more body fat you carry the more Cardio that must be included in your weekly exercise.

As with all Body Shapes it is recommend that you consume small meals right through out the day in order to speed up metabolism.Endomorph

Protein Supplements and Meal replacement shakes should be kept to a minimum as your body burn less Calories burning liquid food as oppose to whole food.

An endomorph should generally rely on lower calorie foods that can be used in the body quickly. 

They may do better keeping complex carb foods in smaller portions and avoid them late at night.

The typical diet should comprise roughly; 

30% protein, 50% Carbs & 20% Fats
