Provided you’re following a Workout routine that contains 2/3 muscle mass building workouts and 3 Cardio workouts your Calories, Protein, carbohydrate and fat requirements can to attained with the calculations below.
Calories requirements = Bodyweight in Lbs x12
For Example, if you weight 180lbs your Calorie requirements would be 2160 Cals overall. Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats must all amount up to roughly 2160 Calories.
Protein (4 calories per gram) = 1.5g per lb BW
If your body weight is 180lbs your Protein intake would be 270 grams. This will make up for 1080 of the total Calories (i.e. 270grams x 4 calories per gram of protein).
Fat (9 calories per gram) = .4 per lb BW
If your body weight is 180lbs your Protein intake would be 72 grams. This will make up for 648 of the total Calories (i.e. 72 grams x 9 calories per gram of protein).
Extra Virgin Olive Oil is excellent for cutting as it is High in monounsaturated fat. This Oil should make up most of your Fat intake.
