Male Body Shape -- Everybody is born with a different body Type. This is why there is so many different human body shapes which each develop different levels of body fat and muscles of the body. 

Your body type is determined by genetics. You will probably share the same Male Body Anatomy as someone who is closely related to you such as a mother or a father. Male Body Shape

Because body type is a genetic trait, it will always be apart of you. However, with the right approach you can change your Body Shape to start looking more like a different Body type. 

Three Body Types

There are three different body type classifications:


Endomorphs: Endomorphs tend to have bigger bones that the other body types. These men and women usually have round faces with larger thighs and hips. Endomorphs have arms and legs that tend to be short and tapering, giving them a stocky appearance. 

Most endomorphs have comparatively small hands and feet and a high waist. Additionally, endomorphs have higher levels of body fat than the other body types, but they can also build muscle and lean mass easily. Weight loss is most difficult for the endomorph body type.

Body-Type
Mesomorphs: Mesomorphs are usually described as having an athletic build. They often have an hourglass or ruler shape, and gain muscle mass easily. 

The majority of mesomorphs have broad shoulders and a narrow waist. They have a fast metabolism and can lose weight more easily than endomorphs.

Ectomorphs: Ectomorphs have a thin, linear appearance. Most ectomorphs look like rulers, with narrow waists, hips, and shoulders. Ectomorphs can lose weight easily and tend to have low levels of body fat. However, they also have a harder time gaining lean muscle mass.

Your Body Type

Few people actually fall distinctly into one category. Instead, it is much more likely that you will be a combination of the body types. Common combinations include ecto-mesomorph and endo-mesomorph.

Since all of us are genetically different, the fact of knowing your "Body Type" can be of great help. It will help you in optimizing your goal, cleaning your diet and choosing the right style of exercises to adopt.

There are three different body types so to speak. While everybody is a mix of the three, we all have predominance for one particular type. Your "main" type will obviously be the one you can associate closely with!

1 - Coat Hanger Shape

Usually not the most desirable Body Shape as most of your weight tends to reside around your hips, gluteus and midsection. The goal commonly strived for by this Body Shape is to achieve something more like a ruler or even a trapezoid body where the lower body will no longer out-proportion the upper body.

 

For those with a Coat Hanger shape it is advisable to engage in some High Intensity Interval Training 3-5 times per week to shed this lower body fat. On top of this Upper Body Workout routine which encompass heavy compound weightlifting movements such as Bench press, Shoulder press, Dumbbell Rows and so on to build to Upper Body.


Squats are also advisable due to the growth hormone released which will accelerate the rate at which the Upper Body grows.



2 - Upside-down Coat Hanger Shape

This also with the trapezoid is the most sought after Body Shape simple due to the masculine appearance of having a broad muscular shoulders and a smaller waist.

 

The Upside down coat hangers may be concerned with having big, broad shoulders which are out of proportion to their small waist. If this is an issue then Upper Body Workouts should be refrained from and in their place should go heavy Squats, deadlifts and Back Extension which will help to thicken the waist.




3 - Ruler Shape

Ruler Body Shapes are frequently people who are inactive or are else endurance athletes such as runners and cyclists. For the most part, ruler body shapes have a slight frame and may be aiming for something more like a trapezoid shape in which case, a full body workout routine encompassing lots of compound weightlifting exercises.



4 - Trapezoid Shape


This body shape is the most sought after body with broad shoulders and a thick waist to go with it.
