As a Health and fitness enthusiast I frequently ask people –in the gym or otherwise- what are their goals or what kind of shape do they want to get in? To this day the most common response is that they want to “Tone Up!”
To be honest I never really liked the phrase “Tone Up”. It’s not very specific. For example, I think what people mean when they say “tone up” is that they what to shed body fat from the figure to reveal a more defined and less saggy appearance.
If this is the case then the main goal really is to burn fat fast and maintain muscle to bring a better overall shape to your body.
Good Toning Workout Program
I always stress being as specific as possible because if you’re not then you become a part of the vast majority of people in the gym who have no idea why they’re pounding away on the treadmill or why there are pushing these heavy weights.
So
before you begin on your Endeavour to “tone up” by Losing body fat and
maintaining muscle it’s important that you equip yourself with proper
workout routines for toning and a suitable Diet.After this all that is required is that you choose a time frame which you aim to get in shape and then stick to your routine religiously!
Something I should highlight about about toning up is that you can’t spot tone on your body. For example you cannot tone up your midsection by doing hundreds of crunches. Doing this will build your abs but unfortunately it will not give your body or your midsection a more toned appearance.
The only way to lose fat on a certain region of the body is to engage in the Cardiovascular exercise. Preferably High Intensity Interval Training a few times per week.
